Why take part in an immersive English Homestay?

Immersion learning is not about poring over textbooks and memorizing words. Instead, it is about creating an environment in which students are exposed to new language in everyday scenarios. Learning becomes necessary and dynamic. It is a very effective way to learn and the way we have all learnt our own language.

Who are we? We are Amber, John and our 3 kids - Indi, Georgie and Jasper. We are an English family living in Andalucia, Spain. We have hosted and taught English to children and young people for 8 years in England and now here in Sunny Spain! We are both TEFL certified and have a lot of experience creating engaging and fun immersive programs to improve the English speaking ability of children and young adults.

We offer our summer immersive English homestay program in a beautiful villa in the Lecrin Valley, Spain. Surrounded by orange and lemon trees and the stunning mountains of the Sierra nevada.

The villa sleeps up to 6 students.

There are 2 student bedrooms that sleep 3 guests in each.

The bedrooms sleep children of the same gender but preferably not the same nationality so as to encourage the students to communicate in English only.

Outdoor areas.

There are multiple outdoor seating and dining areas at the villa and a BBQ area next to the pool. BBQ nights are a must when you stay with Explorers Homestay!

Everyones favourite part of the villa, the pool!

Enjoy a swim in the sunshine with plenty of sun loungers and shady areas to relax inbetween lessons and other activities.

Explorers Homestay will be open from Saturday the 1st of July - Saturday the 26th August 2023.

The cost of a 1 week stay with us is 600 euros.

This includes-

Full board accommodation

3 hours of morning English lessons (Monday to Friday)
Afternoon activities - sports/hiking/city trip/places of local interest
Evening games and activities - board games/ quizzes/ cards/ film nights/BBQ and pizza nights
Transfers from and to Malaga airport
